<\/i> About<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Recreational Outreach Center (The ROC) opened in April of 2012 as a tool to be used for our youth and our community.\u00a0 Far from what began as a concept of a 10,000 square foot pole barn-style building, the ROC ultimately grew to a brick structure with a finished size of 16,000 square feet.\u00a0 Valued at over $1.7 million, the building includes a gym featuring a full-size basketball court, an activity room with large-screen video monitors, a kitchen, and a room designed for use as a state-of-the-art computer lab.<\/p>\n

The building is the first to be built on 45 acres of property purchased by the church for future development.\u00a0 Gary Nesbitt, a Mason First Nazarene member for 55 years, served on the building committee that oversaw the design and construction of the new building.\u00a0 \u201cOur desire from the very beginning was to build a structure that could be used by the youth of our church and community,\u201d Nesbitt explained.\u00a0 \u201cThe youth of any organization or community represent the future, and I believe that we have been successful in creating a building that will inspire our youth.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Children’s Ministries at the ROC<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Learning Center<\/strong>\u00a0is a place for children to come for academic coaching. \u00a0If you have a child who would like some assistance with their homework or would like to stay ahead of their studies, please contact Beth Woodard at (517) 908-6191 to set up time with one of our coaches. \u00a0The Learning Center is open from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays starting the third week of September. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ladies’ Ministries at the ROC<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cardio Drumming!<\/strong> \u00a0Make Health Living FUN! \u00a0Join the Healthy Horizon Team as they walk you through a cardio workout at the ROC! Get Fun Fit and Go Cardio Crazy<\/strong><\/em> as you help your heart stay healthy! If you are a first time participant, you must pre-register. \u00a0Please call (517) 862-8240 so the team can have a kit available for your first visit. \u00a0If you like your workout, you can purchase your own workout equipment for $25. \u00a0See you at the ROC!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Men’s Ministries at the ROC<\/span><\/h2>\n

Christ ROC Basketball!<\/strong>\u00a0 We have open basketball for men on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 PM until 10:00 PM. \u00a0Courts are assigned as you enter the gym. \u00a0If you have questions, please see Al Shattuck or call the church office!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Seniors’ Ministries at the ROC<\/span><\/h2>\n

Prime Time!<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are 55 or older and want to fellowship with others in our community, join us at Prime Time! \u00a0The gym is open from 11:30 AM to walk and talk with friends. \u00a0A potluck lunch starts at 12:00 Noon! \u00a0Bring a dish to pass or just come and join us for fellowship! \u00a0A craft, music or movie is presented after lunch by Laura Vickery. \u00a0Come Join in the Fun!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
